The venue of Limassol Open water Marathon part of the Cyprus Swim Series races is Dasoudi Beach in Germasogia, which is offering great views of the Mediterranean Sea and a taste of the cosmopolitan Limassol City.
In September ambient temperatures are min/max 21-30 ⁰C while seawater temperatures range between 25-29 ⁰C, making this an ideal time for an Open Water event! It is expected that it will be a non-wetsuit swim, in crystal clear Mediterranean waters.

Next, swimmers continue all the way to buoy 2, leaving also buoy 2 on their left-hand-side, while heading once again to buoy 1 to complete the first lap of the distance. After finishing one lap of the 3km Challenge Race, swimmers will again leave buoy 1 on their left-hand-side, and head to buoy 2, which they have to leave buoy 2 on their left-hand-side to complete the second lap towards buoy 1, which again they have to leave buoy 1 their left-hand-side and move towards buoy 3 and finish the race. In case an athlete does not “clear” the buoys as described above, the option of a DSQ will be considered.
